Upcoming Attendance: Annual SAF National Convention

The Climate Trust will be attending the Society of American Foresters National Convention in Tacoma, Washington October 6-9th.  Leaders in forestry, academics and policy will share this year’s theme, “Rooted Future: Growing in a Dynamic World”, to explore the evolving role of forests in a changing world.

TCT staff members will be presenting an organized session on Wednesday, October 7th from 4–530p, titled, “Timber Harvesting and Carbon Sequestration”, where we will dive into forest inventory design and operation as well as geospatial analysis and how it all ties together in a forest carbon project that includes sustainable timber management.

On Friday, TCT will also participate in a panel discussion from 11a-1230p titled, “Unlocking Forest Value: How Ecosystem Services and Certification Drive Sustainable, Multi-Benefit Forestry.”  This roundtable discussion brings in professionals from industry, third-party forest certification and forest carbon to explore how forests provide a multitude of benefits beyond timber.

You can also catch us at booth #203 throughout the event.

We hope to see you there!
