A Holiday Thank You from The Executive Director

Greetings,

As we approach the end of 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the impact we have made together and to express our sincere gratitude for your continued commitment to our mission: pioneering accessible carbon market solutions that benefit the climate through good land stewardship.

Highlights of 2025

This year, with the support of our partners, The Climate Trust:

• Began developing what will be the first-ever Climate Action Reserve (CAR) Canadian grasslands project on the largest private grassland conservation easement in Canada;
• Entered our first Canadian forest carbon partnership with Nova Scotia Woodlands Trust to protect family forest carbon stocks through an aggregation initiative;
• Allocated 100% of our newly launched Enabling Reforestation and Afforestation Success (ERAS) funding through the U.S. Forest Service Forest Landowner Support Program, including initial deployments of more than $3.6 million to landowner partners; and
• Reopened our Traceable Reforestation for America’s Carbon and Timber (TRACT) Fund through the USDA’s Advancing Markets for Producers initiative

These accomplishments represent more than milestones; they reflect real people and communities working together to achieve meaningful climate impact.

• Accelerate our grassland conservation efforts;
• Expand our reforestation and wildfire restoration footprint; and
• Explore emerging natural climate solutions, including biochar
