For the third year in a row, The Climate Trust was honored as one of the 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon, ranking no. 29 for small organizations.

Approximately 5,000 employees and volunteers took part this year in Oregon Business magazine’s 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon survey. Participants came from a wide variety of sectors, including social services and environmental advocacy; rating their satisfaction with work environment, mission and goals, career development and learning, benefits and compensation, and management and communications.

Now in its eighth year, the 100 Best list showcases organizations that are exceptional places to work based on employee feedback to the survey.

“We are pleased with the key hires that have joined our team this year, and I look forward to them weighing in on the upcoming 2017 100 Best survey,” said Karena Gruber, Director of Operations for The Climate Trust. “We are very proud of the comprehensive and inclusive on-boarding process we have cultivated for new staff, and we appreciate the chance to participate in Oregon Business Magazine’s survey each year to gage whether we’ve done a good job at integrating new team members into our culture,” continued Gruber. “We’ve found that maintaining the health and happiness of our current and new team members is good for morale, and good for business.”

“We are so pleased that The Climate Trust has been honored among a premier group of organizations for the third year in a row,” said Sean Penrith, Executive Director for The Climate Trust. “During my career I’ve lead many organizations, but this group stands out as a truly extraordinary team, and I couldn’t be more proud of the positive culture we’ve built together.”
