Sam provides technical expertise to support The Climate Trust’s reforestation program. Prior to joining the Climate Trust, Sam worked as a planning forester for The Northwest Natural Resource Group in Seattle where he gained valuable experience conducting site assessments, designing planting projects, and monitoring carbon sequestration projects. Sam holds a Master of Forest Resources from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Sam first found his passion for forest conservation as a teenager while hiking and mountain biking in the forests surrounding his home town of Truckee, California.
